The Iridium 9603 ESBD module provides optimal transmission security (TRANSEC) for warfighters and support staff. It offers greater on-air performance compared to its Iridium 9603 Short Burst Data® (SBD®) counterpart.

  • Increased transfer rates for messages larger than 70 bytes
  • 12x greater maximum mobile-originated (MO) and 15x greater maximum mobile-terminated (MT) message sizes than SBD
  • Message recovery allows data transfer continuity in momentary radio frequency (RF) signal loss
